Where can I find it? Services >>> PX (Desired Service) >>> Schedule
In this article, you will learn how to fully manage your schedules:
- To edit and delete existing schedules.
- To add new schedules (both individual and those that recur weekly).
- To hide event times.
How to Edit and Delete Existing Schedules
You can edit an existing schedule by accessing the Services tab >>> PX (Desired Service) >>> Schedule >>> Add events that repeat on a weekly basis. Editing is done by directly modifying the corresponding time box or by deleting the entire line to generate a new one afterward.
As you will see in the example below, if bookings already exist for that day or time, the system will not allow you to delete the line.
To manage these cases, you have two options:
- Manual Booking Editing: Edit the bookings individually to change their schedule, thus freeing up the time slot. Once free, you can delete the schedule you no longer want.
- Add and Close: Add the desired new schedule and then close (instead of deleting) the old schedule you do not want to keep available. To find out how to close schedules, go to this section.
To modify a booking manually, go to the Bookings tab in your control panel. Once there, select the booking you want to modify and click on the wrench icon to edit it.
How to Add a New Schedule
Add weekly repeating events
To add a schedule that repeats weekly for the whole year or a specific month, navigate to the Services tab >>> PX (Desired Service) >>> Schedule >>> Add events that repeat on a weekly basis.
First, select whether you want to add events for the whole year or if you prefer to limit them to a specific month.
Next, you must add the times to the event row in your booking system. With this option, you will create events that repeat by day of the week at the time you determine.
Simply add the time on the days you want and click "Add new event row". Please note that if you add an event on Mondays and Thursdays at 10:00, the system will automatically generate an event at 10:00 for all future Mondays and Thursdays.
There is a trick that can be very useful to save time: when you add the first time on Monday, double-click and that same time will automatically be copied to the rest of the days of the week.
Add individual events
This option is designed to add extra events that are not part of your usual schedule, either on a one-off basis or for a limited period of time (less than a month).
For example, you can use it if you want to add an additional event on a weekend at a different time. To manage these cases, navigate to the Services tab >>> PX (Desired Service) >>> Schedule >>> Add individual events.
To add events on a single day, simply type or select the date and time you need, and then click the "Add" button.
To add events in a specific time range, click on the "Date | Range" option.
A new field will appear where you can select the dates for "From" and "To", and choose the time of the event. Finally, click "Add" to create the events throughout that period.
All these events will appear listed below as individual events. To delete any of them, simply click on the corresponding red X icon.
To improve the loading speed of the Widget, we advise deleting past events periodically.
How to Close Events
To close specific event times, entire days, or whole months on your calendar, navigate to the Services tab >>> PX (Desired Service) >>> Schedule >>> Close single events, full days or entire months.
As shown in the panel legend, the formats for each type of closure (specific event, full day, or full month) will be those displayed below in the example.
All these closed events will appear listed below. To reopen any of them, simply click on the corresponding red X icon.
If, on the contrary, you wish to perform a closure that affects all your services and not just one, you can consult this article on how to carry out seasonal or maintenance closures.
How To Hide Event Times
To hide event times in the booking calendar, you simply need to uncheck the "Display hours" box in the Services tab >>> PX (Desired Service) >>> Schedule >>> Add events that repeat on a weekly basis o Add individual events. In this way, your customers will be able to select and book the day on the calendar, but the specific time of the event will remain hidden.
When the boxes are individually checked, this indicates that one or more events are scheduled for that day. If, conversely, the boxes are not checked, it means there is no availability or no event scheduled for that date.
Upon applying this change, the event time will no longer be visible both in the booking calendar and in the confirmation email.
