Where can I find it? Company >>> Manage users
In this article, we explain in detail how to manage affiliates from your TuriTop control panel. We will guide you through the entire process: from creating user profiles to generating your tracking links.
Although our system offers various ways to collaborate with third parties, the affiliate link is the main and most efficient tool for tracking and managing your sales automatically.
For the tracking system to work properly, it is essential that your account's global code is installed on all pages to which the user is redirected. Likewise, affiliate tracking relies on cookies to link the sale during the 30-day period, so your website must have a consent banner configured and the user must expressly accept them for the booking to be successfully registered.
How to Create an Affiliate User
Step 1: Invite the User
The first step in setting up an affiliate with access to the panel is to send them an invitation from the Company tab >>> User Invitations. For this profile, we recommend selecting the "Agent" user type, as it is the most appropriate role for this purpose. It will also allow you to obtain a unique affiliate ID for each user, making it easier to track their sales.
For more information on managing permissions, we suggest you consult our detailed article on User Invitations.
Step 2: Obtain the Affiliate ID
Once the user accepts the invitation, they will appear in the Company tab >>> Manage Users. In order to generate their tracking links, you must first obtain their affiliate ID:
- Select the user: Locate the affiliate (remember that they must have the role of "Agent").
- Set the commission: Indicate the percentage or fixed amount of commission that will be applied.
- Obtain the ID: Make a note of the number that appears in the "Affiliate ID" field (for example:
39310).
It is essential to manage these codes accurately, as each user has a unique ID. Ensure you assign the correct code to each affiliate when generating links to ensure that sales and commissions are recorded correctly in their account.
How to Set Up the Affiliate System Using Links
The affiliate link works similarly to a banner advert: it allows all sales made outside your website to be recorded and automatically appear in the TuriTop control panel.
With this method, your affiliates do not need to install widgets or descriptions on their own pages. They only need to insert a link that includes their affiliate code and points directly to your website. If visitors who arrive via that link make a booking within 30 days of their first visit, the commission will be automatically assigned to the affiliate.
We recommend this method (affiliate link, either text or image) because it is easy for your partners to implement. In addition, by redirecting all traffic directly to your website, it has a positive impact on your SEO positioning by increasing the volume of qualified visits.
Link Structure
It is essential that the link points to the supplier's website and includes the tracking parameter. Here you must replace the value of the ttafid attribute with the affiliate ID you obtained in Step 2 (for example: ttafid=39310).
-
Standard option:
http://www.yourwebsite.com?ttafid=39310 -
Parameter customisation: If you prefer to change the label name (
data-afftag) to a custom one, you can do so as in the following example:http://www.yourwebsite.com?NewAffTag=39310. You will also need to modify thedata-afftagparameter in your global code, as in the following example:
<script id="js-turitop" src="https://app.turitop.com/js/load-turitop.min.js" data-company="S1566" data-buttoncolor="green" data-afftag="NewAffTag"></script> Link Formats
The affiliate link can be sent directly (text) or integrated into visual content. Here are two examples:
Link without image: Ideal for "Book here" buttons or hyperlinks in blog articles. Remember that here you must replace the value of the
ttafidattribute with the affiliate ID you obtained in Step 2 (for example:ttafid=39310).
<a href="http://www.yourwebsite.com?ttafid=39310">Click here to book</a>2. Image link: Ideal for advertising banners or social media posts. Remember that here you must replace the value of the ttafid attribute with the affiliate ID you obtained in Step 2 (for example: ttafid=39310). You must also replace the img src value with the link where the desired image is located (for example: img src="http://www.where_the_image_is_located.com").
<a href="http://www.yourwebsite.com?ttafid=39310"> <img src="http://www.where_the_image_is_located.com"></a>
Expand your Network of Collaborators!
Once the configuration is complete, the growth possibilities for your business are limitless. Your sales team will be able to contact any website, blog, or influencer willing to collaborate as an affiliate.
Not sure where to start? A good place to begin is to put yourself in your potential customers' shoes. If you search Google for keywords such as "what to do in [name of your city]", you will discover countless options.
The advantage of this method is that you will be focusing your efforts on websites that already have established traffic, as they are the ones that appear on the first pages of results. Contacting these portals guarantees that your services will gain visibility among a real and active audience.
