To help you comply with data protection regulations (GDPR), we have added a set of tools to your TuriTop control panel. Below, we detail the available possibilities and how to configure them.
Manual customer data deletion
You can now delete your customers' personal information without needing to cancel the booking or lose your statistics or sales reports.
Step 1: Log in to your TuriTop control panel and go to the Bookings tab. Select the booking whose data you wish to delete and click on the eraser icon.
Step 2: The system will show a security warning letting you know that this action cannot be undone. Click on Delete customer data.
Once you do this, the personal data will be deleted, but the general booking information (event dates, booking number, status, tickets, etc.) will remain intact.
Schedule automatic data deletion
You can configure the system so that the data collected in the booking form is automatically deleted a certain time after the activity has ended.
Go to the Company tab >>> Company Info.
At the bottom of the section, you will find the dropdown menu "Delete customer info after".
Select your preferred time period (ranging from 3 to 6 months, or 1 to 5 years).
The auto-deletion period is calculated from the booking date, not the event date.
Add Terms and Conditions acceptance
You can insert a mandatory or optional field in your form so customers can accept your conditions before completing their purchase.
Global configuration: Go to the Company tab >>> Booking form, click the button to add the "Terms and Conditions" field, and paste the URL where your terms and conditions are hosted.
Service configuration: You can also do this individually by editing a specific service and looking for the dropdown under Services >>> PX (Desired service) >>> Booking Form.
Add Newsletter subscription checkbox
Allow your customers to opt-in for commercial newsletters to keep them updated on news, discounts, and promotions.
Just like with the terms and conditions, you can add this field globally from the Company tab or individually in the editing area of each service by activating the "Newsletter" option in the form and marking it as mandatory if you wish.
Combined checkbox: Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions
If you prefer to combine both authorizations into a single checkbox, you can use the "Custom Checkbox" element, as it supports HTML code.
Step 1: From the Services tab >>> PX (Desired service) >>> Booking Form, add a new checkbox.
Step 2: Copy the following example code and paste it into the checkbox field:
I have read and accept the <a class="lowercase" target="_blank" href="http://www.exampleterms.com">general terms and conditions</a> and <a class="lowercase" target="_blank"href="http://www.examplepolicy">the privacy policy</a>
Step 3: Replace the example links (
[http://www.exampleterms.com](http://www.exampleterms.com)and[http://www.examplepolicy](http://www.examplepolicy)) with the actual URLs of your website.
Make sure to mark the mandatory status exclusively in the Widget and leave the checkbox unchecked by default for it to work properly.
