Where can I find it? Company/Services >>> Channel Manager >>> GetYourGuide
In this article, we will explore how to manage the availability of a boat tour service intended for sale through the GetYourGuide platform.
For the initial verifications, the integration activation, and the general management of the connection for any type of service, you can consult the global connection tutorial for GetYourGuide.
Service Creation
To illustrate this practical case, we have created a model service named "Boat Tour (Shared)" classified as a tour/activity type.
To replicate this configuration with your own service, you must first complete the basic settings, such as schedules and ticket types. In our example, we have configured a service for a vessel with a capacity of 20 seats and have generated the Adult, Child, and Baby tickets from the Services tab >>>"Boat Tour (Shared)" >>> Tickets, using the following configuration:
You can consult this section of our Help Center for more information on how to configure services in TuriTop.
Connecting with GetYourGuide
Step 1: Map the Tickets
To link your TuriTop tickets with your GetYourGuide tickets, navigate to the Services tab >>> "Boat Tour (Shared)" >>> Channel Manager >>> GetYourGuide.
Here you will need to select a TuriTop ticket type for every GetYourGuide ticket type, even for those you do not plan to use.
Don't forget to click the "Save" button so that the changes made in the ticket mapping are correctly recorded.
Step 2: Activate and Retrieve the Product ID
Once you have finished mapping your tickets, check the option "Enable this service for GetYourGuide API" and then click the button to the right of the "TuriTop Product ID" code to copy it.
Keep this code handy, as it will be necessary to use it later when you are setting up your products from the GetYourGuide panel administration area.
Step 3: Access the connection option in GetYourGuide
To complete this step, log in to your GetYourGuide supplier panel and click the Manage tab to access your Products.
Once you identify the product you want to connect, click "View details".
When the product page opens, go directly to the Options section and click "Edit option" for the option you want to connect with the TuriTop service.
Step 4: Connect the TuriTop Service
In the option panel, go to the Connectivity Settings submenu.
Under the question "Do you use an online booking system?", select "Yes, I use a reservation system", type "TuriTop" in the search box, and select it:
Next, in the External Product ID field, paste the code you copied in Step 2.
If you have already connected other services before, you’ll see a list of active and available services for connection.
Once you’ve linked with the TuriTop service, click "Continue" to finish configuring the product and publish it.
Step 5: Finish Configuring the Product
Once the Connectivity Settings are configured, you will need to set up the Availability and Pricing.
Ensure that you have selected the "Price per person" option, as, like mentioned in the first checks of the connection tutorial, there is no support for group tickets/prices.
Additionally, make sure to select the "No" option for the question "Do you want to apply the prices that you have specified in your reservation system?" in the pricing settings.
The current integration does not support either price synchronization or group tickets.
Once you configure all remaining options, GetYourGuide will validate the product for publication. Please note that availability synchronization is not immediate and may take hours/days for the calendar to update on your GetYourGuide product page.
Any future changes you make to your connected GetYourGuide product could break the mapping or cause errors in the bookings or the connection. If you need to make changes to the structure of your product, please contact your account manager to evaluate the impact before taking any action.
