If I change prices in TuriTop, will they change in GYG?
No, the API connection only checks availability for now. This means you must configure prices both in your TuriTop panel and in GetYourGuide, and if they differ, they won’t map when the booking is transferred to TuriTop.
I closed an event in TuriTop, but it’s still open in GetYourGuide
Keep in mind that availability synchronization is not immediate and can take up to 8 days for the calendar to update on your GYG product page. In this article, you can find the table of automatic update frequencies.
This means that availability changes must be made well in advance. Although there is never a risk of overbooking, since availability is checked in real-time when trying to book.
I have created a new event in TuriTop. Should I create it in GetYourGuide?
No. When you connect your TuriTop services with your GetYourGuide products, you are already automatically synchronizing events (availability) between these two platforms.
However, as mentioned above, synchronization is not done in real time, so events you add may take up to 8 days to synchronize and appear on GYG.
A "schedule time error" appears when connecting a service
Make sure both platforms are set to the same time zone. You can verify it in TuriTop under Company >>> Default Settings >>> Timezone. In GYG, your time zone is determined by the location of the Meeting point configured within each option under the Meeting point or pickup tab. Otherwise, you will not be able to connect the service.
- If a reservation on GYG is canceled, where do I manage the refund?
Refunds for resale reservations must always be managed on the resale platform itself. On the GetYourGuide dashboard, you can see the reservations you have received, your statistics, etc. Then, you can also update the status of your reservation on TuriTop or add a note to centralize the information.
