Where can I find it? Services >>> PX (Desired Service) >>> Schedule
The schedule is an essential part of any booking system. Your TuriTop booking system features an intuitive and simple interface that allows you to create and modify every aspect of your calendar with ease.
In this article, we explain everything you need to know to fully manage your availability: from creating weekly recurring schedules to adding individual events and closing events.
You can consult this article to learn more about how to edit your schedules.
How to Create a Schedule
To create a new schedule for your Tour/Activity type service, go to the Services tab >>> PX (Desired Service) >>> Schedule. Once inside, you will see the Schedule to use section.
When you create a new service, a default schedule is created and assigned a generic name. You can modify this name by clicking on "Rename?" to make it easier to identify if you decide to share it.
You can also create a completely new schedule by clicking on the selector and choosing the "Create a new schedule" option:
After confirming the action, you can enter the name of the new schedule, click the "Create" button, and start adding weekly or daily events to the new schedule:
When you create a new schedule or delete an existing one, any existing bookings that do not match the new events will become orphan bookings and you will only be able to view them from the Bookings tab.
Adding weekly repeating events
To add a schedule that repeats weekly for the entire year or a specific month, go to the Services tab >>> PX (Desired Service) >>> Schedules >>> Add events that repeat on a weekly basis.
First, select whether you want to add events for the entire year or if you prefer to limit them to a specific month.
Next, you must add the times to the events row of your booking system. With this option, you will create events that repeat by day of the week at the time you specify.
Simply add the time on the desired days and click on "Add new event row". Keep in mind that if you add an event on Mondays and Thursdays at 10:00, the system will automatically generate an event at 10:00 for all future Mondays and Thursdays.
There is a trick that can be very useful to save time: when you add the first time on Monday, double-click and that same time will automatically be copied to the rest of the days of the week.
Add individual events
This option is designed to add extra events that are not part of your usual schedule, either on a one-off basis or for a limited period of time (less than a month).
For example, you can use it if you want to add an additional event on a weekend at a different time. To manage these cases, navigate to the Services tab >>> PX (Desired Service) >>> Schedule >>> Add individual events.
To add events on a single day, simply type or select the date and time you need, and then click the "Add" button.
To add events in a specific time range, click on the "Date | Range" option.
A new field will appear where you can select the dates for "From" and "To", and choose the time of the event. Finally, click "Add" to create the events throughout that period.
All these events will appear listed below as individual events. To delete any of them, simply click on the corresponding red X icon.
To improve the loading speed of the Widget, we advise deleting past events periodically.
Share a Schedule
You can share a schedule by selecting it across two or more services, but remember that any change you make to the schedule will appear in all services that share it.
However, sharing a schedule does not mean you are sharing availability (or resources) between those services. You can consult this article if you want to know more about resource availability.
You can learn more about how to share your schedules in this article.
Configure the Event Duration
Finally, to add the duration of the event (a setting that will be essential if you plan to use Resources), go to the "Service Details" section within the configuration of the desired service.
Delete a Schedule
To delete a schedule, return to the Schedule section >>> Schedule to use and click the "Delete" button.
When you create a new schedule or delete an existing one, any existing bookings that do not match the new events will become orphan bookings and you will only be able to view them from the Bookings tab.
How to Close Events
To close specific event times, entire days, or whole months on your calendar, navigate to the Services tab >>> PX (Desired Service) >>> Schedule >>> Close single events, full days or entire months.
As shown in the panel legend, the formats for each type of closure (specific event, full day, or full month) will be those displayed below in the example.
All these closed events will appear listed below. To reopen any of them, simply click on the corresponding red X icon.
If, on the contrary, you wish to perform a closure that affects all your services and not just one, you can consult this article on how to carry out seasonal or maintenance closures.
