Where can I find it? Company >>> Receiving Payments >>> Stripe.
In this article, you will learn how to connect your Stripe account to your TuriTop booking system and discover the key benefits of this integration. By synchronizing these two platforms, you will be able to optimize your online payment management, improve your customers' shopping experience, and ensure fast and secure transaction processing.
How to create an account with Stripe
Below, we will show you how you can easily create an account with Stripe to connect your payments with TuriTop. If you already have a Stripe account, please skip to the next section.
Step 1: Getting started
To access the Stripe account creation process, go to your TuriTop control panel under the Company tab >>> Receiving Payments >>> Stripe. Once there, click on the “Connect with Stripe” button.
Alternatively, you can also visit the Stripe website directly.
Step 2: Registration
When you click on “Create a new account,” the system will ask you for various details or requirements, which will vary depending on the country where your company is located.
Once you have completed all the required information, such as company type, personal details, company details, bank details, public information, and tax calculation, click on “Continue.”
You can check the complete list of countries available for operating with Stripe here.
You will need to add your mobile phone number, to which a security code will be sent for verification.
Once your account is secured, you will receive a second code that you should keep in a safe place.
Finally, Stripe will send you an email requesting confirmation of the account. Once these steps are complete, you will be able to access your dashbboard.
Step 3: Activate your account
To activate your account, complete the account application, which asks for basic information about your business, your products, and your personal relationship with the business. After activating your account, you can start accepting payments in active mode immediately.
Connect Stripe with your TuriTop booking system
Next, we will show you how you can easily link your Stripe account to manage your payments with TuriTop.
Step 1: Obtain your Publishable Key and Secret Key
To obtain the publishable key and secret key that you will need to enter in TuriTop, go to your Stripe dashboard, access the Developers section, and click on API Keys. Make sure your account is in Live mode and not in Stripe's test mode so that you can process real payments.
Once inside, go to Standard Keys, locate the corresponding keys, and copy the values in the “Token” column. Keep these codes handy, as you will need them later.
Step 2: Enter your keys in the TuriTop panel
Once you have obtained the publishable key and the secret key, as explained in Step 1, go to your TuriTop control panel in the Company tab >>> Receiving Payments >>> Stripe.
Here you must enter each of the keys in their corresponding section, as well as check the boxes for “Active” and “Auto-capture payment.”
It is essential to check the “Auto-capture payment” box; otherwise, the payment will not be completed and the amount will be automatically refunded. However, if you use iDEAL through Stripe, this step is not necessary, as the payment method manages the capture immediately.
You will see a green confirmation message once the connection has been successfully completed.
We recommend making a test payment to verify that the integration is working correctly. To do this, remember to activate “Test Mode” in the Company tab >>> Receiving Payments >>> Stripe. Please note that the minimum amount per transaction in Stripe is €0.50. However, we suggest consulting their official documentation in case these conditions change in the future.
On the other hand, to send email notifications to your customers every time they make a payment or you process a refund, you must go to your Stripe dashboard in Settings >>> Business >>> Customer emails.
To issue a refund, you must access the Stripe control panel and make the refund directly from there. Additionally, you can consult this article where we explain how to issue a refund using the most common payment gateways (Stripe, Redsys, or PayPal). If you have questions about the refund process on your gateway, you should contact their support channel or consult their help center.
